FAQ

Why Choose a Zip Up Work Jacket Over Buttons?

A zip-up work jacket closes the front faster, leaving fewer open gaps than a traditional button placket. That can reduce airflow through the center front and give the jacket a neater, more defined closure while you move.

The Blun goes a step further with a two-way zip. The lower slider lets you open the jacket from the hem while keeping the upper section fastened, which gives you more space when sitting and easier access to trouser pockets without opening the entire front.

The point collar is made from plush ribbed corduroy, creating a softer surface against the heavier twill body. Sand beige is paired with a contrasting cream collar, while dark olive uses a more tonal olive combination. The texture change defines the neckline without adding extra hardware.

The Blun has a regular fit with balanced shoulders and a shorter length finishing around the waist. It is not designed as an oversized or boxy jacket. Use your standard jacket size as the starting point, then check the measurement table above if you need extra room for heavier layers.

A heavy crewneck works well when you want more warmth without changing the Blun’s shape. For lighter insulation, add the Kim PrimaLoft overshirt underneath, or keep things simple with a long-sleeve tee. Because the jacket is cropped, check how far longer base layers extend below its hem.

The Blun is an unlined cotton twill shell, not an insulated winter coat. The dense fabric provides a substantial outer layer, but it contains no down or synthetic fill. In colder weather, combine it with an insulated liner or heavyweight sweatshirt rather than relying on the jacket alone for warmth.

Two oversized utility patch pockets sit at the waist on either side of the center zip. They provide open storage without interrupting the upper section of the jacket. What may look like extra chest construction is actually the horizontal yoke seam, not another pocket.

Yes. Heavy cotton twill generally becomes more pliable as it is worn and washed, so a jacket that begins with a firm structured silhouette can gradually develop softer folds and natural creasing around areas such as the elbows and pocket openings. Follow the garment care label to protect the fabric and construction.
